At the end of 2004, Kubus has lost him mother. His father took care of him. He repeatedly beaten and tortured him. In January 2005 he was arrested by the police on a charge of exceptional cruelty. Kubus was in critical condition, the most serious damage was done to his head. After months spent in hospitals, several neurological operations and great suffering, his condition has slightly improved. However, the child was so badly beaten that he has lost his sight and hearing. Fortunately, in June 2005 it turned out that Kubus can hear.

At the end of January 2005, the court has begun the process of depriving the father of custody.
In March 2005 Kubus was finally able to leave the Clinic of Neurology Polish Mather’s Memorial Research Institute in Lodzi. After just few hours of staying with the foster family he had to go back to the Clinic. In September 2005 he was taken to the Intervention Centre for Pre-Adoption in Czestochowa, where he had stayed until February 2006.
On the 16th of February 2006, the court Lodz – Srodmiescie in Lodz has granted the custody of Kubus to his foster family. He had finally got a mother and long awaited family.
Patkub has promised to indefinitely take care of Kubus and his foster mother. We would be grateful for any help for Kubus rehabilitation and everyday life.
